Skiing for single people
I am looking to have a ski holiday in feb (France or Austria) without my
regular skiing partner. Can anyone advise on the best way to arrange a ski holiday for a single person without having to pay for a double or twin room? Any ideas welcomed -- best wishes andy |

I've used some of those single rooms, they tend to be very small eaves rooms, not much larger than the bed. it can be a pain especially when your kit is wet. but You'll be ther to ski not sleep, won't you! -- Chris *:-) Downhill Good, Uphill BAD! www.suffolkvikings.org.uk |

Any ideas welcomed Many single skiers find Ski Club holidays an ideal way of having a good time on and off-piste. Watch out for words like 'restricted height' and 'eaves room'. You'd be amazed at how few people read the acres of small print in the brochures and who are then sorely dissapointed on holiday. |

If you book at the last minute you can often get a double for the price of a single or very little more. I don't know if this works in France in February. If you don't want to do your own hacking around the operators, use a specialist agent - Ski Solutions, Alpine Answers, whoever. Small operators are often better than big ones, so if you've fixed on a resort, find out what small operators it has and try them. If you don't mind sharing a room, say so. It's relatively easy for blokes to get shares as there's more of you. -- Sue ] |

Ski Olympic has a Chalet in Meribel with one single room. Stayed there when
it first opened about 5 years ago. Was very confortable. Room had on suite. Regards Neil. "andy" wrote in message ... We (and other tour operators) offer a Male or Female share basis where you
pay the standard price for the holiday with no supplements on the basis you are prepared to share with another single man or woman. See www.snowstarholidays for details. Cheers, Richard.
