Skis only good for 50 outings?
I bought a new pair of boots the other day and the salesman mentioned that skis
were only good for about 50 sessions before there was a notaceable decrease in performance. I have never heard of that before. Was this just a salesman trying to sell me skis, or is this legitimate? |

Skis only good for 50 outings?
I use the 181cm XP for practically everything off-piste. You can't go far
wrong with a 70-72mm waist and 16 or 18mm of sidecut depth (this would mean 108-110mm shovel and 98-100mm tail) -- pick your own length but for lots of bumps nowadays I'd go around 175cm. I like metal skis but I ski bumps smoothly (euphemism for "I ski 'em with ancient knees"). If you hack 'em, get a ski with no alu or titanal layers. I really don't want to waste money on a mogul-specific ski. |
