Default Secret Weapon

Terje has been holding out about the Norwegian secret weapon:

What has nine heads, costs NOK 4 million (USD 600,000) and is part of
the secret behind Norway's winter sports success?

There's another secret weapon, at least
for Marit Bjørgen. "Tran" or cod liver oil!
She claims she gets fewer colds since she started
drinking it. There's an ad for "Möllers Tran"
which shows her drinking it right out of the bottle.

Is it a "performance enhancing substance" ? :-)

D vitamins, I think. It could not have been so very helpful, since she is
still sick.

Actually fish oils in general - rich in omega-3 fatty acids - are the
current miracle cure and some of the claims appear to be based in fact.
Sounds like our moms new a good thing before it was fashionable. The mere
thought of cod liver oil brings back instant memories of it's awful, awful
taste!

Wonder how it would do as a glide enhancer?
