Default Cervinia or Gressoney

I've booked flights for a five-day break to Turin next week and am
agonising over where to go skiing.
I've been to Cervinia before and was impressed with the vast amount of
skiing - albeit mostly intermediate. However I've been wanting to see
what all the fuss is about Gressoney / Monterosa for a couple of years
now - but note that a lot of their skiing is a good few hundred metres
lower than Cervinia and have seen that most of the Alagna side (where
most of the difficult skiing is) seems to be closed.

Has anyone skiied in the Monterosa resorts over the past week and if
so what are the conditions like.

Should I go for Gressoney or Cervinia.

I asked this group a few weeks back for advice on whether to ski in
Val d'Isere or Val Thorens. I chose Val d'Isere and was really
impressed.

Thanks for the advice BTW

It's too late in the season for Monterosa. Go to Cervinia.
