Default Aamodt is out all season.

Kjetil Andre Aamodt said from his hospital bed in Austria today that his
broken ancle injury during GS training in Sølden is really somewhat worse
than it first seemed to be yesterday, and that he now most likely well be
out for the complete coming season. But, he still absolutely expects to make
a full recovery from his present ancle injury, and therefore will make a
full comeback in the WC circuit next season. This also means that he will
start in the World Championships in 2005 to try to win more international
championship medals, to add to his already vast collection (which BTW was
stolen in a burglary in his home, and not yet recovered, not a single medal,
but replicas or copies of all medals are expected to be made for him), and
he is still expected to race beyond the 2007 Winter Olympics.

I read this bad news just before coming here - this has been a terrible year
for Ammodt. I hope he has a better than expected recovery.

Bloody hell. That's a shame.
