Once again I'll recommend www.homesteadvillage.com in Sugarhouse. Nice
area. Good pub and food nearby. Freeway access.

Thanks. Sugarhouse is booked up. There's one in Mid Valley at 5683 South
Redwood Road but that seems a bit far. Although it appears it might be a
straight shot off 215.

There's one called The Crystal Inn over near that other homestead village.

I'll
keep my eye open for some others.

Hi guys,

I have called both Reston Inn and Homestead both of them are not on the ski
bus routes.
Can you recommend one that is?

Jack

I can't think of any offhand. I'm sure that there are some. Have you looked at
skiutah.com?

I believe the Salt Lake Plaza and Crystal Inn are both on the bus route.

http://www.crystalinns.com/slcdt.html
I preferred the Plaza (Best Western) over the Crystal Inn. The Plaza had a
nice ski package.

It could be that they aren't on the *direct* bus route. There are "ski
busses" that go straight up and ones that you have to transfer from. The
nature of any mass transit tells me that if you can get *any* bus, you
should be able to, however eventually, get to the destination.

I think in that end of the valley one can pick up a bus at the light rail
station that goes directly to the ski areas. I've also heard of a bus you
can catch near the University that is a direct route to the bus stops at the
bottom of the canyons.

The system here is called UTA. They have a website that can really dial it
in for you if you want. It seems to me that lodging staff should know enough
details of the options that pertain to their particular property, but who
knows?
