Default The last salute to great sportman and hero

I know that these are not exactly the right ngs, but since there's no
newsgroup dedicated to generic wintersports, I think that this is the best
way to spread the news on usenet.

Today Eugenio Monti died at the age of 75 in his hometown of Cortina
d'Ampezzo (Italian Alps).
As a bobsleigh driver, he won 6 medals in the Winter Olympics (2 gold, 2
silver, 2 bronze) in a 12 years span (1956-68, and the 1960 olympics
featured no bobsleigh). He had been 8 times World Champion, too.
He will be forever remembered as one of the few true greats in his sport.
So long, Red Devil.

I'll never forget the time he took the Shuttlecock too fast in Saint
Moritz. He was coming down at an unbelievbable speed when he hit the
turn... Wait a minute, that was Wenner after a few too many
Heinekens...

No dis-respect to Eugenio Monti. I'm sure he was a great Champion.

Default Shuttlecock?

Eagerly going out on a limb he isn't Shuttlecock a TURN on the Cresta run? (So it doesn't get a
"the".) I just loaned out my copy of that cool book "Apparently Unharmed." Those Cresta sled guys are
STYLISH. One place, one sled. I have no problem with that.
