Make sure you don't have any regrets.......
I do a lot of ski trips each year to a lot of different locations.
Many people like to go to one place and stay put for the duration. From what you've posted, it doesn't sound like you guys are that way so I'll chime in. If I've taken the time, energy and expense to go somewhere, I don't like to find out later about an area that I should have checked out. I can't imagine coming to Utah and not doing Snowbird. You've already got plans to get some good variety with the ones you've named, but, whatever you do, even if it means dropping something else from your list, I would ski the Bird. When friends who have never been to Utah come to town they usually want to ski PCMR, Canyons, or Brighton because that's what they've heard of. If I can't talk them out of those, I get them to agree to include Snowbird. After they do, they never stop talking about it. With the new high-speed quads and new terrain it's quite the place. Another recommendation--I would consider dropping one of your planned days at Canyons or Solly and instead do Snow Basin for an additional experience you won't regret. Here's a website that might aid in your planning: http://VerticalFeet.com |
