K2 'Travis Parker' re Sims Fader
Ok, re my last post. I think I'm begginig to narrow the choice down. At a
shop (Elis Birgham, Xscape Cas.) I was recommended a Sims Fader based upon my height/weight and what I wanna do. (5'6" / just over 10 and a half stone...I think that's about 150lb to a colonist). Another board recommended was the K2 Travis Parker, or Quaw Quaw (I've seen it called a few things on different sites). The Sims is considerably cheaper £220 vs £320 for the K2, but both are within my price range if this is justified. I definately prefer the graphics on the K2 board...I'm 42, so the Sims, with the teenage dolly bird in the skimpy Tshirt is not really my image...but the graphics are probably worth the extra £100 on the K2. I'm only really looking at the board for freestyle, I may well by a different board for mountain use, maybe a Sims Chaos, but that can wait untill winter, for now I'm riding indoors. |

What do you mean by "riding indoors"?
www.xscape.co.uk The Castlford centre is 10 mins from my house. I know that some people ride on snow on mountains...but there is a distinct lack of both of those where I live *g*. I suppose that I was trying to point out that most of my riding takes place on a small slope (150 metres), but with rails and jumps and such thingies permanently present. There's little point getting up to much of a speed because your'e at the bottom too quick...in fact it's pretty pointless on ski's, except for practising. Also, about 30 mins away is an outdoor artifical centre (www.ridehalifax.co.uk). I haven't bee there yet but it's supposed to be quite good for snowboarding. I believe they are building a new half pipe. Regards another Dean |

I ride Halifax most weeks, it's not bad, not too crowded either. There's a
decent fun box, quarter pipe an such, not bad place really and much cheaper than Xscape. Does for the summer and keeping the hand in during winter waiting for the real stuff "Dean" wrote in message news What do you mean by "riding indoors"? www.xscape.co.uk The Castlford centre is 10 mins from my house.
