salmon hills?

Does anyone know what the status of the resort at Salmon hills is? I
am going for a job interview to Ithaca, NY in Dec and was thinkin
about taking advantage of their lake effect snow, if any.

From several reliable sources, one of which is the NYSSRA newsletter,
I have heard that the bank has put Salmon Hills up for sale. With
extreme luck someone else or a group will buy it with the goal of
turning it into a cross country skiing area again.

Other options in the Salmon Hill area include the Tug Hill public
groomed trails and Osceloa touring center. If you want I will post or
send you websites for these two areas.

Where are you interviewing in Ithaca?

When the time comes, if there's snow around I can clue you in on
where the locals go for best snow. At that time of year anything
is possible. If no snow, most rollerskiing here happens at the
Cornell Plantations Arboretum.
