Anyone recommend any good snow pants?
I want it to be water resistant and keep me warm in cold cold weather.

I want to order it online but afraid i might get something really thin

I bought some Westbeach trousers this time around. They are seriously
thick and really quite heavy, really well made and designed. Also fit
me well, even though I am 30-32 inch waist but 5"7 (ie usually hard to
find ones not too long in the leg). These seem pretty high-tech, only
thing is they may be a little too warm in France next week if the
sun's out!

Insulated pants aren't as useful as shell pants. I suggest you get
yourself some good shell pants, a pair of polypro long underwear and a
pair of fleece pants. Then you can wear various combinations depending
on how cold it is.

I use army-issue gore-tex shell pants. They have their down sides -
no gaiter, and velcroing them tight around a boot looks a little
goofy, and my high-back has worn through them in one place and had to
re-attach some velcro in others. But I could afford them and I've had
the pants for a couple years, some with heavy usage, and they've held
up, more-or-less, and they do keep me dry, even post-holing through
hip-deep fresh.
