Default Atomic Metron vs. Nomad

I demoed the Atomic Nomad Crimson this weekend and really liked them. Would
I be correct in assuming this is a softer more forgiving ski than the Metron
family? It's difficult to find direct comparisons on the internet.

Thanks

*More* forgiving than Metrons? Does it come with carpet slippers included?

I heart my M11-B5's. The word on the hill is that you either
love them or hate them. Nobody is wishy-washy. These things
are like driving an 18 wheeler. I bought them one size up
from what the shop recommended and they bust through anything.
The downside is carrying them to the lift. You can become
fatigued just from the weight.

My understanding of the new Nomad line is, at least in part,
to combat my complaint. They come naked so you can put any
bindings on them and Salomon has some new, really lightweight
offerings in that regard. I haven't skied these things yet,
but I assume I'll be fresh when I get to the lift.

Anthea...
I'm to try some Stormriders in a couple of weeks and keep them
for several weeks. I'll get back to you.

They've softened them quite a bit over the past few years, probably not a
bad thing. The ones I tried back in 2002 wouldn't bloody turn until you were
doing mach II. Talk about crudbusters though, they are battleships, but they
now turn.

I'm still thinking about some XXs but I'm doing so little skiing, it's
hardly worth it. My Stockli SCs are still all taped up from the trip home
back in April 06...
