The 2009 The Great Ski Race, March 1st from Tahoe City to Truckee

There are only 9 days until the start of the 2009 The Great Ski Race, a 30
kilometer (~18.43 miles) adventure from Tahoe City to Truckee, over Starratt
Pass and along Sawtooth Ridge, with spectacular views of Lake Tahoe and the
Sierra Crest along the way.On-line registration

February 26th at 9PM. Race cost is only $45 - about one-half the price of

The Great Ski Race

The Great Ski Race is the primary fundraising event for Tahoe Nordic Search
and Rescue, an all volunteer group focused on conducting fast, safe re
scues and educating the public on winter safety. Your participation in the
race enables the team to achieve these goals, one of which has been
the production and distribution of our Winter Aware DVD to *all* High
Schools in California, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, Alaska, Oregon, and
