Fischer BigStix 74,

_ I'll let you know in about a month. I picked up a pair cheap
this summer and am going to put Bomber's Bishop bindings on
them. I've been skiing a pair of Big Stix 84 for 2.5 seasons
now with alpine bindings and I think these skis are the best
things going. Short of hard ice they do everything pretty well
and when the snow stacks up they are a blast. They will motor
through everything, yet will snap a quick and lively turn when
you need it. Many of the "Fat" skis I tried when I was shopping
were just kind of "dead", they were great for crud, but not much
fun in other conditions. I like a ski that responds with some
snap when you crank on it.

_ I'm hoping the 74's will be a slightly quicker version of this
same ski. They are very heavy though.

Rossi HellRazor;

_ These are tele ski for hardpack ice. I've never heard anything
good about them. You might check couloir magazines old reviews.
Unfortunately, telemarktips.com threw away all their old reviews
when they went to the new review format. I'd take the Big Stix
74's over these in a heartbeat.

Hagen Freeride Touralpin

_ No idea. Unfortunately, Hagen skis are hard to find in the
USA.

the name is Hagan - and they are not really good. They gained a certain
fame because Hagan was one of the first companies building ultralight
race skis for alpine randonee marathon competitions (like this for
example: http://www.trofeomezzalama.org/)

greetings,

ulrich
