International Skier Opens 2006 Instructor Training Programs
Folks.
www.internationalskier.com International Skier has now posted its 2006 schedule for "CSIA Instructor Training" and "High Performance Ski Advancement" courses. Based at Apex Mountain in BC Canada for the 2006 season I.S. is pleased to now offer CSIA training up to Level 4. The instructor courses are designed for people serious about a career as a professional snowsports instructor. The courses aim to challenge participants to build their on snow confidence, technical skills and professional skills to a level that exceeds the requirements for accreditation. Level 2,3 and 4 course participants (resident or work visa) may also seek work with the Apex Ski School during their training program to offset their program costs. The Level 3 and 4 programs have built in work option block weeks to maximize work access. (Non-resident) participants of the Level 3 and 4 may also apply for a sponsored work visa via the Apex Ski School. The High Performance course is for skiers who don't just want to ski the mountain but want to rock and roll while doing it. There is no certification at the end of this course, just the knowledge that when you finish the course, you will have the knowledge, skills, and tactics to ski faster than before, ski harder terrain and think that Double Blacks are the easy way down. All instructor and high performance course participants will enjoy advanced back country training from an ex-(Mike Weigle) lead guide.
