Adrian I originally carried a stubby one in a pocket in the snow cuff at the bottom of the trouser leg; now I carry a small set in a plastic case, or when I remember a leatherman (in its leather case). It is amazing how often I have used them (including adjusting bindings so we can try each others skis as well as repairs etc.) John |

Bloody amateurs ;-) Those items are carried in addition when I'm using my touring sack, the first list is from what I carry in my day sack..... Also depending upon intended terrain to be covered there is also rope, harness, ice-axe, ice-screws, sling(s), karrabiners, prussick loops, Ropeman and/or Tibloc, and gps/altimeter. ;-! Felly sgrifennodd Ace :
Swiss Army Knife. One of those ones with the altimeter on them? Yes I got one last time I was there! Nice too. But I fear the screwdriver may be a bit too narrow for my bindings (haven't needed to try yet though). Adrian -- Adrian Shaw ais@ Adran Cyfrifiadureg, Prifysgol Cymru, aber.
