I use acetone to clean electronics. I've never tried it on skis. Vote for Romney. Repeal the nightmares. |

Acetone is a solvent the will effect plastics I would use it in limited amounts until I heard from manufacturer that the plastic used was not effected by acetone. |

Acetone only affects certain plastics. Acetone is sold in plastic bottles. A few years ago on a job, a co-worker knocked my bottle of acetone off the table and the top broke. I couldn't put it back in my truck without a top. but I was drinking a vending machine bottle of iced tea. When the bottle was empty I poured in the acetone and sealed it. It's been in my truck like that for years. Vote for Romney. Repeal the nightmares. |

The bottle is locked away in my truck, and I wrote, "acetone," on the label. How often do you take an open bottle of iced tea off someone's truck? Vote for Romney. Repeal the nightmares. |

I don't soak my bases in it. I apply it to a rag and wipe the black stuff off. It dries in seconds and has not hurt my bases, ever. |

It's been there for years. What's wrong with it? I hate having to wrap my paint cans in extra plastic bags so that I can throw them in the trash. :-o I pay absolutely NO attention to the politically correct and especially the warmons that are free to use and consume things to make themselves happy but are all to willing to restrict the things that make me happy as long as it's not something that they find useful themselves. |
