Conditions are very poor in the southern French Alps - no fresh snow
since Christmas. 9 out of 10 blacks closed in the linked Risoul/Vars
domain, 24 out of 37 reds closed, 10 out of 40 blues. ie anything steep
is in terrible condition. Base just 45 cms at resort level (1850m).
55cms at altitude (2750m).

If you have any choice I would head for the northern Alps, (La Rosière
has great snow at the moment), or the Pyrenees... even the centre of
France, the Massif Central, is in great nick (Mont Dore with 1m50 at
resort level, 2m30 at altitude).
