Breathable Mitts?
Any suggestions for large size breathable mittens, preferable with some
insulation of their own, and big enough to mix and match with inner gloves or mitts for various temps. I got some last week that were supposed to be breathable, but I think that was only on the low activity downhill scale, cause my hands got mighty damp inside them (warm though!) If I had to I could go to rag wool mitts and some kind of nylon shell. I have sporthill mitt covers which are nice but too small for a good size inner mitt. gr |

I've tried just about all of the lobster gloves available in N.A. and
Sinisalo makes the best I've found and they take a liner underneath, if things get really cold. No current US importer, so get them across the border at Fresh Air Experience: http://www.freshairexp.com/index.php. Importer is Canadian Wintersports Corp., . For Sinisalo's website: http://www.sinisalo.com/ski.php/ Gene gr wrote: Any suggestions for large size breathable mittens, preferable with some insulation of their own, and big enough to mix and match with inner gloves or mitts for various temps. Len over at Jenex designed a winter mitt for some U.S. military program
and thinks they're the best available for those with cold hands... |

For 30 years I have used woolen mittens. they are warm and they
breathe. When it gets too warm, I simply take them off. When it is very very cold, I can add a nylon shell. |
