Check out the iceskate looking boot/binding on the Swede in the 3rd

It is a speed-skate boot and and clap frame with ice blade replaced with a ski. It was mentioned in 2 threads on Oct 25 2005. You would have to take your boots off to re-wax etc. IMHO, even ice skates with a blade permanently fixed to the boot are of little practical use!
