Default lodging at okemo

I've been to Stratton, but usually ski at Jimney, Butternut, Hunter etc.
we're looking at a family (kids 9&11) trip in Feb to Okemo for 3-5 days.
I'm a very low intermediate skier, but my wife is intermediate and my kids
pretty good.

I'm looking for a rec for a reasonably good place to stay.
Condo/hotel/whatever. something close enuf to the mountain (condo's at the
mountain???), newish and clean. does anyone have any recent experience and
can recommend an above average, but not ridiculously pricey place? thanks

Try Jackson Gore, mountainside.

Bad recommendation! he said "not ridiculously priced" I would be
hard pressed to find anywhere in VT that is 'Higher" priced then
Jackson/Gore.

I agree , I stayed at the new Jackson Gore inn and it was the most expensive
place I've stayed in Vt so far . It was nice but pricey .

Sorry! I wasn't at all thinking of price.

I would also suggest that if you don't mind staying off the mountain, there
is a nice little town, one town south of Ludlow, called Chester VT.
There are a number of nice B&Bs there that have ski and stay packages.

here's an example.. http://www.quailhollowinn.com/skiandstay.htm

I have no connection what so ever with any of them.
