Backcountry near Big Sky
My family has decided on about two weeks at Big Sky, with side trips to
Bridger, this February for our annual resort vacation. Does anybody have recommendations on backcountry t'marking or snowboarding in that area. We will be two experienced, experts with plenty of winter mountaineering and off-piste experience. We are interested in guidfed days hiking for as much as 4,000 or 5,000 feet of turns and in terrain that could be reasonably exploited by first time visitors in the area. Is Yellowstone all touring or are there any worthwhile vertical challenges in there? Guide book recommendations are also welcome. Thanks. Tommy T. |
