S-Lab boot on/off?
I've been trying a pair of Salomon S-Lab skate boots and am having
trouble getting them on and off. I've been using a pair of Active Pilot boots in the same size, and while the S-Labs fit about the same once on, they are MUCH harder to get on and off. Is this normal? I'm a little worried about damaging the boot, especially the plastic cuff, in taking them on and off. Is this a valid concern? -- JT **************************** Remove "remove" to reply Visit http://www.jt10000.com **************************** |

No, you won't break them. They should get easier after one or a few
repeats, although I found each boot of each pair of recent Salomons I tried was different (led to mixing and matching). I would also caution that while the forefoot of the S-Lab at the wide part of the foot is larger than the older Carbons, the toe box itself is still pretty narrow and squeezed my toes a bit. For that reason I ended up with this year's RS Carbons, which fit much like the old RS 9. rm John Forrest Tomlinson wrote: I've been trying a pair of Salomon S-Lab skate boots and am having trouble getting them on and off. S-Lab boot on/off?
I bought a pair of S-Labs mid-season this last winter. Yea, they are a
little tought to get on and offf, but I think that is why Salomon put those two stout pull loops on the neoprene cuff. No sign of breakdown so far and the fit far outweighs the on/off exertion. My old Salomon bumblebee boots were a great fit and the S-Lab are even better. If the fit is good for you I would go for it. Jeff "John Forrest Tomlinson" wrote in message ... Try this: Grab the two (front and rear) pull loops with both hands with the toe of the boot pointing out, ie right for the right boot. Slide your foot in and begin to twist the boot in the correct direction (counterclockwise for the right side) as your toe hits the insole, and continue ot pull on. Works for me on the Carbons, which look pretty similar. Randy |

That's true, you have to start them perpendicular to your foot.
