Why settle for good company and good snow when you could have good

good snow and a decent resort?

Erm, because you can have as good a holiday at half the price? Let's not
go down the road of saying that Les Menuires is not a decent resort. I
have stayed in all the 3Vs and it is as good as any of them. What you
lose in some areas you gain in others. If you want picture postcard
village ski resorts, may I suggest you look somewhere other than France.

Indeed. Swiss resorts offering this sort of charm are nearly all
severely lacking in the ski in - ski out department...

Any info on Les Menuires would be appreciated. We are planning a trip
in late January, will be staying at Hotel L' Ours Blanc. What is the
town like, bars, restaurants, etc How easy is it to get around as
village is quite dispersed.

If you get down to St Martin de Belleville, brag about it to people who
visit at times when they can't.
