Default Downloadable maps

Having recently bought software from Memory Maps, I was looking to
increase the maps that I have to cover the areas that I like to visit in
the winter.

I've done a small amount of stuff near Mt Shuksan, WA, and I found that I
can download a map for that "quad" from an interactive web page from
http://www.charttiff.com/memory-map/memory-map.htm

Has anyone tried these? Are they useful enough for route planning to load
onto GPS? (I have the paper version of the map, and a compass already

Or are there other alternatives out there to download?

- Dave.
