Default Ski lenght?!?!

Hi everybody..
I have ATOMIC GS11 skis (for grand slalom) and they are 160 cm long.
I am 180cm tall.
Is this bad or i can ski without any problems. Or should i replace them
with longer skiis??

If you have to ask, then you probably should use
a more compliant ski for a while. The GS ski may
just be more than you can handle at any length.

GS skis are happiest at Mach 6, making huge
carved turns. Are you ready for that yet?

If not, put them away for a while and rent, or
otherwise acquire something of an "intermediate"
ski. You'll like it a lot better.

The length, however, it probably OK.

GS11 ski @ 160 ? Sounds like a junior race ski. Way to stiff for a
beginner/intermediate and too short as a speed carver for an adult expert.

Fully agree on these two points.

Oh, assuredly.

P.S. The 30s are still skiing OK.
