Rossi RPM 100s (now Z5s)
I've been skiing Rossi RPM 100s (this year renamed Zenith 5s). I hadn't
demoed them but when I went to the store where I buy my equipment and told them I didn't like anything I demoed they suggested these. I bought them without demoing since the store allows exchanges if your not happy and they spent a lot of time asking what I liked and didn't before recommending them. they seem to be the perfect all around East Coast ski. I've skied in a variety of conditions and they have zero chatter, hold an edge really well on hard pack and modest ice (I haven't hit bad ice yet this season) and are shockingly easy to turn. I expected a trade off of no ease of turning to get the chatter-free holding ability. But there was no trade off at all. My guess is that they're too thin to be a great ski for folks who spend time in deep powder but that's not my issue since I rarely see it. Any way, anyone looking for a great all purpose East Coast ski should check these out. |
