Default back on the snow

Hey all,

I used to post here a lot from around 1995 - 2003,
or thereabouts. I've still been snowboarding, but
spending much more time in the water, working
at my desk etc. Anyone still here from back then?
I know a bunch of the names, but I'm at work and
can't remember off top of my head. Dave Roberts?

Anyway, I'm starting a little side project - my own
snowboard company:

Rise Snowboards Inc.
Vermont, USA
2008 - Prototype
2009 - Production
- Take the high road! -

I have contacts at Burton going way back, know
Hayes Bros. in VT, which also has a press, and
this is my brother's company:

http://www.selectdesign.com

Clients include Burton, Cannondale, Timberland,
Ben & Jerry's, Pepsi, US Snowboarding, etc., etc.

So as you can see, I have the groundwork in
place. I'm still doing my regular freelance work,
I'm just getting started on this. Not sure how far
it will go, but I'll have t-shirts and stickers this
year, and will at least build my prototype:

Rise Arise - 162cm, directional, wood core,
"step cap", top notch sintered base, wrap around
edges, maybe some kevlar or other lightweight
materials, titanuim???? More specs available.

There will also be the ladies' board:

Rise Rose - 144cm, etc.

I have logos, etc.

Just thought I'd throw this out in case anyone
has suggestions, comments etc. I'll probably
just give a couple boards to friends, who rip
in park and freeride and see where it goes from
there. This group has always been great, and
I've missed it the last few years.

Also, put up a bunch of links on my YouTube
page, including Mervin, TB 8 and other snowboard
trailers...enjoy!

There's no sound on some of them for some
reason. Others, including a bunch of surf clips
on the site.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any advice. I hope
you're all getting ready for winter here in the No.
Hemisphere.

Cheers!
