Default Stars and straps

I knew that stiffer and lighter poles would be better to my sore elbow.
Years ago I had already switched from alulight to Carbon "Cross+" and
that was a real real improvement. Years of soreness decided me to go
for the best ; so I hesitated between SWIX CT1 "star" and Excel C1
"raptor"

I went for Exel C1, just to have the same as Vincent Vittoz...

Stiffness and lightness do help a great deal. The gap between entry
level carbon and top level is not as big as pricing, though...
Unexpected and great improvement came from Exel straps. They allow a
better lateral control of the pole and release almost completely
fingers tensions. They are tricky to adjust though (I almost gave up) .
They need to be soften by usage. But once it's done they're really
great.

Note, that you can get the sames strap mounted on cheaper poles. Thoses
ones are far too expensives (~230 Euros).

Talking of my sore elbow. It apparently comes from the spine cervicals.

I've also been doing as much streching as I could, adjusted my position
in front of my computer. I also try to adopt a relaxed and "stretched"
head and shoulders position while skiing. Things a getting better.
