So I was watching the live cast from the opening mens race in Sweden, I
could hardly believe my eyes to see Tim Burke come in second behind
Norwegian Emil Svendsen ( congrats to Terje!). I wanted to be the first
to congratulate him on this newsgroup. Hope we can keep it up!

Burke has done several good races this year, I think he could easily end
up with a medal in Vancouver.

OEB is also officially back, the second Östersund race was very
impressive, while his last relay leg showed off a Northug-lookalike (but
not quite as fast. :-) sprint go get into second position after Norway
had disasters on both the 2nd and 3rd leg.

OEB's count is now 90 world cup wins, including those he's gotten from
world champs and olys, while Ingemar Stenmark managed a total of 92 such
wins. (You don't get world cup points for championships in alpine
skiing, so that's why OEB passed him last year.)

I still think 92 is the real record. :-)
