Interesting Watch for Gadget-Inclined

As a FYI, there (finally) is a watch out desinged for swimmers that
automatically counts laps. I thought it is likely to also be useful
for typical xc interval workouts (i.e., to automatically time a hill
run, or just any sort of interval on skis).

Watch ("Swimovate Pool-Mate Swimming Computer") uses accelerometers to
identify a consistent arm stroke you're using, then can tell when
there's a 3-second pause in the pattern. Then it gives automatic
split times and counts a lap.
