Default CAT classic skis

I am wondering if CAT skis suffer from accumulation of dust/sand on
the surface that the upper "rollerski" rolls over. Does one get a
"sandy" sound from the CATs when skiing on dirt/grass? Is it trivial
to clean the surface on which the upper "rollerski" rolls over?
