St Anton next week
Heading out to St Anton with my fiancé next week. It has been about 15
years since i was last there, and she has never been. Was wondering ski wise if there is anything that we should make sure we do? I am a fairly decent holiday skier and my fiancé is a solid intermediate. Any advice recommendations gratefully received Ian |

: http://www.arlberg.com/brunnenhof/eindex.php3 What's the price level for a main course at Brunnenhof? At a pretty low level I can recommend Alt S:t Anton, but if the prices aren't too high I can think of going to Brunnehof myself. The Ski Museum was pretty decent before, but was not so good last time I visited it. /Tommy P. |

: I'd really recommend the high level cruising runs from Lech to Zurs - as others have said, you can ski over to St Cristoph and catch the Lech bus in the morning. I skied back from Lech to Zurs one evening on our trip last year, when there were very few people about and the sun was just dipping behind the mountains - gorgeous. Don't know what your fiancee will think but as a "solid intermediate" myself, used to the wide motorways of France and Italy, I found St Anton runs quite intimidating. That said, it's well worth a trip to the top of the Valluga and the red run down from there should be OK for her. The scenery is amazing up there! Paul Leigh Lancs Yes, the run all the way down to Stuben is very nice. Since it's down in a ravine-like depression the snow is also often better there then nearby, it also catches some drifting snow. /Tommy P. |

A nice restaurant in Stuben that we always go to is the Berghaus, we often have lunch there Christmass day. Pretty standard food, but a nice place, not too busy as a rule and reasonably priced. 1000% more charm than the self service place up the hill :-) Ian |

The Museum is nothing special compared to Brunnenhof. Last season the
Museum Restuarant changed hands . Its now owned by the Hotel Manfred. The Brunnenhof Stube doesnt have a choice. It is a set chef menu . There are two sides to the menu, the basic ( 6 courses) 55 Euros or the gourmet (8 courses) at 65 Euros . Really fantastic value . If you have any special requirments ie veggy. If you call in advance they will knock up a 5 course veggy meal (like they did for my mates mrs). Of course with a good claret & coffee the costs acrue. If you compare the costs of eating at BoBo's,Hazienda,Amelias and heard about the food scares of some of these places ! I tend to eat in the Big Hotels St AntonHof,Karl Shranz,Tenne etc as the value & quality is far superior. nigel Tommy Petersson wrote: "Nigel (Remove NOSPAM)" wrote in : http://www.arlberg.com/brunnenhof/eindex.php3 What's the price level for a main course at Brunnenhof? Thats not a bad place but I tend to avoid it as it attracts the Ski
guide & tour company brigade. If you walk a little bit further by the main street the Hotel Post offers excellent food & service and a great sun deck http://www.hotelpost.com/default.asp & also the sport hotel http://www.arlberg-stuben.at/ . Hotel Post actually own the mid mountain restaurant.
