Default question? fluoro vs. cheap wax | warm vs universal vs cold wax

I board at Tahoe, CA (air temp usually above 20F).
BTW, do wax temp refer to air temp or snow temp?

My priority is that the wax be long lasting because I would like to wax
as little as possible, and I don't care about extra speed.

if fluoro last longer, I'll get fluoro. However, if it's just faster,
then I'll get the cheap stuff. Also, if cold wax last longer, I'll get
cold wax (even if it means I'll be slower in the warm california
climate). of course , this is assuming that any wax in any condition is
better than no wax at all.

Please help me choose a wax.
1) fluoro OR cheap
2) warm or universal or cold

thanks.

Cheap waxes work just as well imo. The difference is in how easily
they melt, work in, and especially scrape. Tough to beat Toko and Swix
for ease of use. Cheap wax is a a pain to scrape off and work into the
structure.

Foe Tahoe you want a universal wax except on the codest days when no
wax is probobly better.

How about making it easier to carry through flats?
Tahoe never gets cold; so any wax would carry through flats.
I just want the most durable wax to minimize the trouble of waxing.
