On TV tonight (Sunday) I saw video footage of Kerry boarding. He has linked turns figured out. He falls less than I do (at least, what I saw of him). I agree with your assessment. |

Snowboarder for President??

It's almost funny that there's hardly any skier bashing in this group, yet the skiers over there seem to persist in it. Now which one is the badly behaved demographic? Snowboarder for President??
The video I saw said he'd only been boarding a year or so. I imagine
someone with a professional life like his doesn't have much chance to get to hill, so I was pretty impressed by how well he can ride. His stance does look like he's kiteboarding tho :P. It has nothing to do with how well or poorly he'd run the country, but I gotta admit, I like the idea of a president that does some cool sports. |

(Sharkie) wrote in om: heh, they're going crazy over this on rec.skiing.alpine In what way? I don't look in that group any more, and can't bear the idea of subscribing just to take a quick look. they still seem to consider snowboarders as a root of all evil or something in this matter... there was a post by some liberal skier who's now having a dilemma at either switching his political views to conservative or (gasp!) voting for an evil snowboarder. Kind of funny, although I must admit I was surprised to see the snowboard bashing still going on. I thought this was a popular skier activity during the 90s, but long gone due to high rate of skier-to-snowboard cross overs. I guess some people never learn. |

Precisely why my newsreader is set to kill all articles cross posted to
that group. I don't know if AOL can do that, but I know when I reply to crossposted threads, it only replies to the group I'm reading it on, so I don't think I can continue crossposting. Subbed to RSA for a minute just to tell them to quit the crossposting, there are certain posters there as anyone who's ever read that group know that we certainly don't need *here*... |

Yeah, same here, and I don't see that much skier bashing on snowboard groups/boards. Snowskater bashing, on the other hand... |
