Tognar.com has a whole page of tips for tuning your board, here is a
link (http://tinyurl.com/yk5kxa). In general, you really should just
deburr and polish the edges and not deal with beveling them (they are
already beveled) or even file them unless you have a rock board to
practice (and screw up) on.

Or you might consider Ray's Way Side Beveler
(http://tinyurl.com/ygxrgs) which you can use to "safely" sharpen you
edges. I use Ray's WaxWhiz in between hotwaxes and Mike T uses both the
waxWhiz and the side edge beveler.

Hope this helps

The Ray's Way bevelers are great for maintaining your edges (keeping them
sharp and polished) but not the right tool for setting your own bevels.
Chance are all you need to do is maintenance anyways... if one of your 3
kids starts doing BX or racing, then it's time to develop more involved
tuning skills. (Or if you have the personal interest, like I do... I
probably know way more about tuning than I need to as a serious recreational
rider!)
