Default Can we take the bickering elsewhere?

Evening all,

Can we take all the sniping re uk.whatever either offline, elsewhere or
kill it please?

This newsgroup is going the way of rec.skiing, IMHO.

Let's just put the bickering to one side and focus on the upcoming season,
with 10cm in Tignes village I hope it's going to be a good 'un!

Regards,

Greg

Well said. If people want to carry on discussing it can be done on
UK.NET.NEWS.CONFIG (their caps, can't be bothered to retype). Isn't it
about time people started asking if there are cash points in Tignes or
discussed the merits of various car hire firms?

I'll see if I can spot one this morning ) Should have gone up yesterday
but got carried away with the uk.rec business, apologies folks. Going to the
glacier mid-morning for a few hours, to make the most of the last decent
weather this week according to www.meteo.fr ...

Good skiing there again today, with a run open back to Val Claret (Lanches
chairlift), the pistes were virtually empty, with hardly any queueing on the
glacier... great to be able to ski from glacier to resort this early,
although it wouldn't take much of a thaw to close the lower runs.

Apparently they've got 103 new snowmakers and have opened three new black
slopes (Aiguille Percée).

Any idea where the three black slopes go to/from? Are they just
officialisings the off-piste routes parallel to La Sache?

I wonder if this also means that they will at last upgrade the pitifully
slow Aiguille Percee chairs?

Yes you're right, they're 'making safe' Pâquerette, Epilobe and La Face
(although they'll be left ungroomed).
