Russian Heliboard video
If you're not sick of it all now, I've uploaded a short "trailer" of the
video I'm making of my Russian heliboarding trip. Seems to have been fairly popular too. Use the link below for my website, click on Snowboarding, then the Heliboarding - Russia link. The video link is at the bottom of the page. - Dave. -- The only powder to get high on, falls from the sky. http://www.vpas.org/ - Snowboarding the worlds pow pow - Securing your e-mail The Snowboard FAQ lives here - http://rssFAQ.org/ |

The stuff of me obviously wasn't, but as you don't know which rider is me, that'd be difficult to tell Those shots were done by Iain D from around these parts. The "dream" part was an idea I had whilst on the flight home. Then it's a case of hacking it together. I'm working on some video I took on my trip - nothing as impressive as a) no heli and b) no untracked deep powder! Obviously those things contribute to the source material, but you can get great stuff inbounds. I've made good videos from pure inbounds footage. I used a helmet cam by Hoyt Tech with my little JVC miniDV. I'll make some comments about the good/bad of it all and how it might be (better)used. I've been thinking at a helmet cam, but there are lots to choose from, and it's ascertaining the good from the bad. Plus when riding, I'm not always looking at what I want to film. I think they work best when you are just filming what you are riding, or you have someone in front that you can follow easily at the same speed... although I'm guessing, because I don't have one to try yet. - Dave. -- The only powder to get high on, falls from the sky. http://www.vpas.org/ - Snowboarding the worlds pow pow - Securing your e-mail The Snowboard FAQ lives here - http://rssFAQ.org/ |

I can't find anything about this helmet cam - what is it and where can I find more info? (or on helmet cameras in general I suppose!) Cheers! andyt |

Cheers! andyt Andy, Here are the links I used. I went with the hoyt primarily based on a) cost and b) the adventurecam was out of stock. It seemed to me that the hoyt and jones were essentially the same cam. The one by extremerecall seemed a bit pricy for my needs. http://www.hoyttech.com/ http://www.jonescam.tv/helmet_camera.html http://www.viosport.com/store/custom...e=ac3_overview http://www.xtremerecall.com/ |
