many virus - spam - file attachments (was aging stats)

I have been using this same address for the last 15+ years, and get very
few spams on it - not nearly as many as on the "ksalzberg" address. I
assume that is because our UNIX administrator takes pride in blocking
spammers, avoiding viruses, and etc. Not perfect, but quite satisfactory.
Connected with that has been the occasional attempted post that is
rejected because it comes, for instance, from a known spamer ISP.
