Anyone cut down their Skylords to Straps?
Since I have gotten a set of Nitro Auras to be my new Clicker boots, I plan
to convert my Shimano Skylords to strap boots by removing the strap, and sawing off the rear hinge system completely. Before doing this, I wanted to see if anyone had done this and like the Skylord as a strap boot. They are worthless on Ebay since the soles are way too rusted and this seems to be a great way to get me a set of stiff soft boots for free. |

Anyone cut down their Skylords to Straps?
Hadoken wrote in message 0.100...
Since I have gotten a set of Nitro Auras to be my new Clicker boots... How long has Nitro been in the step-in market? It looks like exactly the same system as the K2 Clickers...who used to have a boot relationship with K2, so, I guess their patent expired or they sold rights to Nitro. Either way, I'm ****ed at K2 for never telling me another highback solution existed when I bitched to them for removing their highback product and going back to only plate step-in bindings. Any info on Nitro's step-ins would be appreciated. How are the boots? Does anybody carry these online? Does anyone use the Nitro highback step-ins? (RF) Thanks, -todd |
