Winter Weather Statement As of 4:46 PM EST on November 12, 2003
446 PM EST Wed Nov 12 2003

.... Winter Storm Warning tonight...

The snow will be heavy at times overnight. An increasing north wind will cause
blowing and drifting snow. Plan on up to 6 inches of snow accumulation
tonight... mainly west of Champion. A sustained northwest wind as high as 30 to
45 mph will cause blowing and drifting snow... with near whiteout conditions
over exposed locations tonight. The strong winds... snow showers and blowing
snow will continue to diminish on Thursday.

Remember... a Winter Storm Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
imminent or highly likely.

Unless absolutely necessary... postpone planned travel tonight. Visibilities
are expected to drop to one quarter mile or less due to falling and blowing
snow. If you must travel... be prepared for sudden changes in visibility and
take along a winter survival kit in case you become stranded. Stay tuned to
NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite media outlet for later statements
concerning this winter weather event.

Default SNOW ... ROAD TRIP !

I'm going nuts waiting for snow here in the northeast US. When
skinnyski.com had that nice set of pictures from some trails near
Duluth I actually went to Expedia.com and started looking at ticket
costs. But I hate to fly....

Bring it on. Please!

I'll bet that the Booneville trails near Rome NY have skiable snow.
Search for it on the web.
