Webcams show some snow. SS says they have been making snow for 20 hours. No opening date set yet.

Knock wood. We canceled our Brian Head trip for the first week in
December because we thought there wouldn't be enough snow. So far we're
correct, but the locals are having a lovely time.

There's no need to fear if Trunky is near.

Mammoth says they are sorta open - Chairs 1, 2, 3, 6, and 11, but not not 4 or 5. Mammoth "locals" - which could include every skier in Southern California - should know what that means.

Boyne Mountain opened last Friday. I skied it on Saturday for day 2 of
the season. (day 1 was the Wednesday prior at Mt Holly.) Then it turned
warm and they closed again.

I was hoping today would be day 3, but the warm spell killed that idea.

Next stop: Vermont this Friday and Saturday. Not exactly sure where.

Mammoth is not worth the money (even at early season discount of $65 for senior single day with MyMammoth account) until at least Canyon Lodge is open (and thus chairs 8 and 16) and at least one of the lifts to the top ridge (Upper G, 23, 14).

Unless you just can't stand to wait.

Let's see, I have a free hotel night coming, and the grinding noise from the front end of my truck can be ignored by turning up the radio...

Okemo's been open for about two weeks. I've been watching - it's on my
short list for next weekend.
