No, Bert is not held to a higher standard of responsibility of the
law. He is not a member of the State Bar. He was at hearing to offer
Scooter support. It was a Civil Hearing, It wasn't a court case.
Bert's antics after the hearing, stating there was an ex parte
conversation, would had gotten him a hearing in front of the Washington
State Bar. However, as chub who had no license to practice law, he
could say whatever he wanted.

In California, former lawyers aren't allowed to give anything even
approximating advice about the law -- not even the kind of stuff your
