Summit County Over Easter?
Hey folks,
Heading to Summit County (Colorado, USA) over Easter weekend and was wondering if there is a favored snowboarding resort. We'll be staying in Breckenridge, but are open to visiting "A-Basin", Keystone, and Copper. After 35 years of skiing, I'm a beginner snowboarder (I'm HOOKED! Linking turns well on blue runs) with my own gear. Thanks for your input. Joe |

Joe, Breckenridge is probably the most fun, it's where I learned to snowboard. On a typical weekend, though, it seems like about half the state goes there. A-Basin is challenging, Keystone is good for night skiing, and Copper is my personal favorite (only because it seems to be a little less crowded on average than Breck). If it were me, I'd go wherever the snow is. If you can wait until the last minute to decide where to go, check the snow reports and decide accordingly. They're all a little low right now. Smaller places south of Denver (like Monarch) have gotten a lot more snow. Eric |
