Default Oslo : And the winner is...

Fischer.
Other brands are almost nowhere to be seen.
Specifically Madshus, at home. Looks like a disaster for them.

Is it technology, conformism or just money ?

The biathlon scene shows a bit more diversity, though.

No, the winner was Oslo. :-)

More than 600k total spectators in Holmenkollen, about 650k attending
the medal ceremonies downtown.

Money.

Norway is a larger market for (competition) xc skis than the next 3-4
countries together, and "Stafett-Martin" (the father of Bente Skari) is
the Norwegian distributor for Fischer.

They have enough money to get most of the xc team, including both Marit
Bjørgen and Petter Northug, to use their skis.

The biathlon scene shows a bit more diversity, though.


Bjørndalen have used Madshus for many years, this tend to "bleed over"
to other biathlethes.
