To pick a nit, the aircraft under discussion is an FA-18.

I heard on the news after the crash that the Blue Angels were going to
cancel today's show. I was surprised to hear that. A few years back,
when they were flying A-4s, one of them crashed on the runway at NAS
Miramar while making a low-level upside -down pass during their
Thursday arrival demo. They put on their regular Saturday and Sunday
shows with aircraft #7 subbing in for the lost one.
