Default powder course USA?

Hi,

I want to go on a ski trip 31 Jan to 14 Feb 2004. The usual
suspects are not available (my mates) so I thought that I
would go on a course on my own.

I have used a company in the UK who operate in France with good results
in the past and I would not hesitate to go with them again _except_
that what I fancy doing is working on powder skiing. This would seem
to indicate heading for the USA or Canada. This is straightforward
enough but the issue is that I do not want to have to pay the
ENORMOUS lone traveller supplements that are usually charged.

Although not ideal I don't mind sharing.

The company that I have been with before sort it all out and accept
lone traveller bookings. They use moderate sized groups
(up to 8) for half a day with high level instructor each day.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am looking to spend say $400-$500 a week for the instruction
or maybe a bit more.
