Copper Mountain opened today. Loveland and A-Basin have been open for a
few weeks.

Which means it's starting to look like Dun Morogh around there. Yes, a
somewhat obscure reference that will be very obvious to some

In NoCal, wunderground.com says Alpine and Heavenly will open 11/18,
Kirwood on Saturday 11/19.

Guess it's time to update my list of HREFs to webcams!

Not without snow. And there's just a trivial snow left on the roadsides
at higher elevations. Hasn't been cold enough for major snowmaking yet.
In fact it's a balmy 40f right now.

Yeah, it's a bit late this year, but it's coming.

Lots Of Snow North of the Sault
Heavy snow was reported north of the Sault today, especially
between Batchawana and Wawa.

They even had enough to make a snowman at Searchmont:

Don't you hate how they keep changing them every season? Ugghh...

What's more puzzling is when they change URL for webcam or conditions
in the middle of a season!

Last year Bear Valley (a low-elevation California area with good slush)
posted "hourly" a huge yet unreadable GIF file of "snow" conditions.
That was puzzling too.

Somebody ought to write a book, Webmastering for Dummies. Lots of 'em.
