It was -30 in Banff on the 17th. Yep, got to Fernie on the 19th, there was "steam" coming off the Elk river. I bought myself one of those face masks the next day as it was still under -20. I was at Sunshine that day, but it was dead calm and sunny. I was dressed for it and completely comfortable. I've been much colder in warmer temperatures, if it's windy and cloudy. I was getting dressed in the car park.
