Driving to Austria, Half Term
Wonder if anyone can tell me the relative petrol prices on our route through
Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria? ISTR hearing that Luxembourg has cheapest petrol? So we could aim to refuel there perhaps. Can do 400 miles between refuelling stops and would want to use Motorway services, daytime. Thanks and cheers, Mike |

Thanks and cheers, Mike http://www.aaroadwatch.ie/eupetrolprices/ is usually good for comparison purposes, although motorway prices will tend to be higher than those quoted and 'cheap' places in town somewhat lower. Seems that at the moment out petrol prices here (Switzerland) are as low as Luxembourg, and Austria is currently slightly lower. -- Ace (brucedotrogers a.t rochedotcom) Ski Club of Great Britain - http://www.skiclub.co.uk All opinions expressed are personal and in no way represent those of the Ski Club. |

Thanks and cheers, Mike Lux has very much cheaper petrol (and ciggies & booze if you are so inclined!). There is a huge motorway service area just inside Lux once you cross from Belgium. Not much else without coming off the motorway so make sure you don't miss it! I. |

German fuel is now very expensive and I always made sure that I left Austria with a full tank! Personally I always found the best route to be: Calais, Lille, Mons, Liege, Aarchen, Köln, Frankfurt, Würzburg, Nürnberg, München to be the fastest route to the Tyrol. regards, Paul Smith |

Two beers and a gluhwein will eradicate any saving you've made on
petrol, so why not just fill up when you need to and forget how much it all costs. Skiing has never been cheap |
